  • At MODUU, we are a small team, driven by design and committed to creating the home that fits with your lifestyle and your living space. With more than 25 years of experience in designing and creating furniture, we pride ourselves on the service we provide - in your home, in our workshop or in our studio on Hitchin’s Bancroft.

    Our skilled designers and makers deliver the highest quality service and products to each and every one of the MODUU Living customers.

  • MODUU is a modular furniture system. Simple yet beautiful. It consists of standard-sized, handmade cabinets that can be adapted to fit your space. With more than 150 configurations of cabinets and accessories in our extensive range for kitchens and bedrooms, we have styles from the classic to the contemporary.

    Although we offer a primarily modular system, we can also adapt our cabinets to fit your space, or make a bespoke piece to complement your scheme.

    We start with your ideas so just tell us what you’re looking for - bring us a sketch or architectural drawing, or let us come and measure up. We’ll discuss the space, who will use it and how. If you’ve seen something you like in a magazine, it all helps us create a plan - together.

    After an initial brief, we produce a plan and a quotation that we’ll discuss with you, explaining every element of your MODUU Living space. Once you are happy, our elevation drawings will include colour and a full specification and then we just need to book your project into our workshop.

    Our furniture is handmade locally in our own, dedicated workshops, using only the best materials. Our skilled team of cabinet makers and finishers apply the finest of attention to detail on every piece. You can be certain that your furniture will be built to the highest specification and quality. Our collection of doors and drawers are set within a frame on soft close, inset hinges. Our solid oak drawer boxes are on fully-extendable runners.

THE FRONTS

There are four door styles set within a frame

MODUU ‘0’

A solid slab door, understated and clean lines.

MODUU ‘22’

A flat panel door and drawer with a slim 22 frame running around the perimeter, looks great on tall doors with a double horizontal rail.

MODUU ‘50’

The smaller rail of our two shaker door styles, can look more contemporary and work well within an industrial project.

MODUU ‘70’

The wider rail and you could say the most traditional style within the collection.

THE SIDES

There are also three end panel styles which compliment and dress any exposed ends.

  • Flat Slab

    Which is the default style that looks great throughout all ranges to provide clean lines and a monolithic look on our MODUU ‘0’ door.

  • SHAKER

    50 or 70 to add detail, horizontal, multiple rails can be added of your choice.

  • Cockbead

    Provides a more traditional look, also works as a great looking splash-back on the walls.

THE BIT AT THE TOP

We offer two styles of cornice to dress the top of the furniture - or you may wish to have none at all. The two styles are:

  • Small Traditional

    A classic, detailed trim.

  • Flat Modern

    A small, understated trim.

THE BIT AT THE BOTTOM

We also offer two styles of plinth to finish the bottom of the furniture:

  • Inset Plinth

    Our default, go to style, plenty of room for your feet, especially where you’re standing at the sink or prep area.

  • Skirting

    With a small chamfered front edge so not to collect too may crumbs, looks good on islands.

The pallette.

Moduu furniture provides a choice of fifthteen house colours however should you wish to choose your own (neon orange anyone?!) then we can happily colour match it to our paint.

Any of the various styles of furniture and accessories can me mixed and matched to create an endless number of different looks so you can be sure to find one that reflects your own individuality and

personality. No two spaces are alike, and each comes with its own individual needs.
